Enterprise & Education
Liverpool Vision actively supports the ‘Enterprise Olympics’ programme in Liverpool’s secondary schools. The ‘Olympics’ provides opportunities for a team of students from each of the participating schools to develop enterprise proposals, with finalists attending a residential master class, supported by local entrepreneurs. They also win cash and equipment for their school, and represent the city at regional and national levels.
We’re also supporting the development of two Enterprise Academy Hubs
located in New Heys Business & Enterprise
College
and the North Liverpool Academy.
The focus of the Enterprise Academy is to stimulate active engagement with
students in the 14-19 age groups and to introduce them to the idea of developing
and building their own businesses. A cohort of students is then provided
with an opportunity to test their enterprise ideas and be supported to achieve
a qualification in Entrepreneurship.
