Liverpool Pavilion visitors exceed expectations at World Expo 2010
Leading engineering, sciences and project delivery firm Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) is a corporate sponsor of Liverpool’s participation at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
The event, which is expected to attract more than 70 million visitors, is now in its second month and reactions to the Liverpool Pavilion have been reported as incredible with an average of 2,500 visitors attending each day.
It is reported that 98% of all visitors said they wished to visit Liverpool having witnessed the Pavilion activity and by the end of the Expo well over 475,000 visitors will have experienced the virtual tour of Liverpool in Shanghai.
Liverpool is the only UK city to have a dedicated presence in Shanghai which is being managed by a partnership led by Liverpool Vision and the Liverpool-Shanghai Partnership, supported by Liverpool City Council and the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
Lead Sponsor, Peel Holdings has invested more than £100,000 to be the headline sponsor for the Liverpool Pavilion.
