Vision's First Board Meeting
The people charged with helping Liverpool step up to another level and take the city beyond 2008 have met for the first time. Liverpool Vision’s board, chaired by BNFL chief executive Mike Parker, gathered at the economic development company’s offices in The Capital to begin plotting the way forward on Monday, this week.
Discussion centred round Liverpool Vision’s business plan and Liverpool’s involvement at the World Expo in Shanghai, 2010.
Mike Parker said: “It was a strong and positive start and I feel we hit the ground running. The contributions to the meeting were excellent and I am impressed already with how this group is working together.
“There seems to be much appreciation of everyone’s ability and the quality of discussion was high and I’m sure this will continue going forward.”
