Taste of America for Castle Street
Castle Street will come alive with the sights and sounds of Latin America later this month.
On Saturday September 24 the Fiesta Latina event will see Cuban and Andean bands, flamenco and salsa dancers and capoeira demonstrations performed in the street for the one-day festival, which will also feature stalls selling authentic food and merchandise.

Paul Rice, chief executive of The Commercial District, is inviting all retailers based in the new Business Improvement District to take up the offer of a free stall at the event.
Rice said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses within the commercial district to take advantage of a free place at what promises to be a fun-filled day.
“Retailers don’t have to have a Latin American connection to take part and are welcome to bring their own themes to add flavour to the event.
“The Fiesta Latina has something for everyone and we would be delighted if members of the commercial district were to get involved, whether they take a stall, or attend and join in with the festivities.”
The festival is the first street entertainment event to be arranged by The Commercial District since the area gained Business Improvement District status in May.
