Local Business wins Multi-Safety Award Achievement

Runcorn based Safety Administration Services –SAS Ltd, have recently been recognised for it’s operational health and safety management performance resulting in the receiving of 2 major prestigious Health & Safety awards, namely the British Safety Council International Award (Merit) which is supported by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and retained for the 11th Consecutive year and also the RoSPA Gold Medal for the achievement of 8 consecutive Gold Awards.

Speaking of this years awards, Julie Nerney – chief executive of the British Safety Council said “This year we decided to raise the bar for the International Safety Awards and I would like to congratulate SAS Ltd on their inaugural Merit Award level achievement, which is an exceptional high standard and one to be very proud of”.

Rob Lloyd – MD of SAS Ltd commented on the recent business achievements by saying, “I am very proud once again of the company’s attainment of the respective safety award’s, but it gives even greater satisfaction to be able to make an ongoing contribution to the promotion and adoption of workplace health & safety best practice”.

In addition to the above award accolades, Rob has been working behind the scenes for a number of years on a voluntary basis providing a much valued health & safety management support provision to St Joseph’s Hospice who are a charity organisation caring for the terminally ill based in Thornton near Southport.

Keith Cawdron – General Manager at St Joseph’s Hospice said “We have deeply appreciated the way Rob & his company have kindly donated their time and effort in working with us for a number of years and appreciatively continue to do so. Rob continues to provide us with an excellent professional service and his contribution to our work at the Hospice has been quite invaluable over the years and to date”.

In recognition of Rob’s ongoing commitment and contribution to the Hospice operations, he has been formally invited to meet shortly with the Archbishop of Westminster – Vincent Nichols who is President of St Josephs Hospice Association at the official opening of a new patient facility building on the Thornton site.

Rob Lloyd is a registered Consultant on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OHSCR) currently administered by the HSE, which has been recently introduced to provide businesses with access to professional advice and guidance to help manage their health and safety risks.
