It’s Liverpool Film Competition Deadline Extended

The deadline for entries to the ‘it’s liverpool on film’ competition has been extended until then end of February 2012.

The competition aims to uncover the hidden treasures of Liverpool through the eyes of its residents and visitors, encouraging people to think creatively about the city.

A top cash prize of £1,000 is on offer for the film judged to be a gold award winner, £500 for silver, £250 for bronze and a £250 People’s Choice award for the most viewed film on YouTube.

Specialist cinema, FACT on Wood Street, will screen the best three films about Liverpool life as well as the film most viewed on YouTube. And in a further boost FACT is also offering the use of its own camera equipment at a specially discounted rate.

Professor Roger Shannon, professor of film and television at Edge Hill University will now also be on the judging panel alongside Lynn Saunders; actor/director David Morrissey; Jon Corner, chairman of River Motion Group; Phil Halpin, co-founder of Liverpool-based Mocha, who made the it’s liverpool campaign film; Judith Jones of Liverpool John Moores University’s Screen School.
