Frontline managers have many different titles, in your business they maybe known as supervisors, team leaders or managers and they may manage 1 or 2 or 30+ employees but the business depends on them in many more ways, as people managers, budget holders, for operational delivery and customer care to name but a few.
This role is constantly changing and increasingly we find traditional HR and Welfare responsibilities are being devolved to managers. Getting the most out of those you employ is the key to success in difficult times. Quite often frontline managers have been promoted from within the company based on their operational expertise and often have had little or no people management training.
