City of London Lord Mayor attends 'It's liverpool in China' networking event


City of London Lord Mayor Alderman David Wooton attended the latest ‘It’s Liverpool in China’ networking event, held on the 25th January 2012 at Hill Dickinson.

The Mayor, who acts as ambassador for all UK based financial and professional services, visited the city as part of a series of regional visits aimed to keep him in touch with regional economic activity.

The ‘It’s Liverpool in China networking event was arranged by Liverpool Vision. Liverpool Vision’s investment and International manager, Nicola Harris said:

“The Mayor was very interested in how the ‘It’s Liverpool in China’ network developed in response to the substantial success of Liverpool’s presence at Shanghai World Expo 2010.

“Hundreds of businesses across the region are doing millions of pounds of business in China. The economic potential in terms of inward investment is huge and our network hopes to harness this”.

The Mayor's visit was arranged through a prior meeting at the Liverpool in London business hub.

Guest attending the event heard from leading Hill Dickinson Patents Attorney, Bruce Jones and Nick Farr, Partner and Head of the China Britain Services Group at Grant Thornton LLP.
