Apprenticeship Opportunities from Liverpool Chamber
Liverpool Chamber of Commerce is enhancing its Apprenticeship Pledge by offering to pay for companies first year of membership should they recruit one of their apprentices.
The Chamber currently offers a fully-fledged and free recruitment service to help local companies grow their business and offers Intermediate and Advanced qualifications in Business Administration, Retail, Customer Services and IT User/Practitioner – achieving a very good 71.6% achievement rate.
Businesses with vacancies are assisted by the Chamber team in finding the right apprentice for the specific job from a pool of candidates and giving the business the opportunity to interview them before their employment commences and any commitment is made.
By taking on a Chamber apprentice, local companies are signing up to the Apprenticeship Pledge, giving them a certificate, an invitation to the annual Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony and a year of Chamber membership, paid for by Liverpool Chamber Training.
The Chamber’s Apprenticeship Pledge has been created to demonstrate their commitment to training and recruiting young people in our region and the call to local businesses to demonstrate this commitment and sign the pledge and recruit an apprentice.
Deputy Chief Executive Carole Crosby stated: “Apprenticeships are very useful and important tool in career development. They are designed around the needs of employers. Apprentices don’t just have to be new staff; existing employees can learn new skills and qualifications through the programme. Organisations who employ apprentices tell us they see increased productivity; improved retention of skilled staff; and an increased competitive edge.
